Franklin County Natural Resource Conservation District

The mission of the Franklin County Natural Resources Conservation District is to promote land use that supports human livelihoods and sustains ecosystems in Franklin County, Vermont. We empower and convene landowners and land-users to prioritize and address natural resource concerns through USDA and locally-developed programs. Franklin County Stormwater

The Franklin County Stormwater collaborative was formed in 2014 by the City and Town of St. Albans, the Northwest Regional Planning Commission and Friends of Northern Lake Champlain to educate and encourage residents to get personally involved in reducing stormwater pollution. This Collaborative is a resource for water quality information, volunteer opportunities, and educational workshops. These efforts are conducted as part of the public education and outreach measures required by Federal Environmental Protection Agency stormwater system permits.

Friends of Northern Lake Champlain

The Friends of Northern Lake Champlain (FNLC) is a non-profit organization that acts to clean the waters of northern Lake Champlain and its watershed by working collaboratively with citizens, businesses, farmers, and government to reduce land-use pollution.

Lake Champlain Basin Program

The Lake Champlain Basin Program (LCBP) is a Congressionally-designated initiative to restore and protect Lake Champlain and its surrounding watershed. We work with partners in New York, Vermont, and Québec to coordinate and fund efforts to address challenges in the areas of phosphorus pollution, toxic substances, biodiversity, aquatic invasive species, and climate change.

Missisquoi River Basin Association

The Missisquoi River Basin Association was organized for the purpose of restoring and maintaining ecological integrity of the Missisquoi River system so that the uses and values desired by the community are supported by the river and the quality of its water.

Northwest Regional Planning Commission

The NRPC assists with municipal issues covering a broad range of concerns: regional land use issues, transportation priorities, emergency preparedness, economic development, natural resource issues, public/private sector cooperation, and review of Act 250 projects.

Saint Albans Museum

The Saint Albans Museum is a 501(c)3 community non-profit founded in 1966 with a mission to preserve and share the history and heritage of St. Albans, Franklin County, and northwest Vermont through exhibitions, educational programs, arts/cultural performances, and special events for all ages and interests.
